Ah, beauty products. It’s not every day you discover one that works for both you AND the boyfriend. I recently got to try a new line of unisex hair products from French brand, Privé, that is trés amazing. This eco-friendly line has everything from shampoo to conditioner to finishing creme.
My favorite product? The Grooming Creme for those bothersome fly-aways and frizzies.
Boyfriend Derrick generously offered to test the products as well. The guy’s perspective? “Enough hold without being greasy, and smells great too. Makes me feel like a ridiculously good looking European dude,” he said of the Sculpting Pomade.
So thanks Prive for your lovely hair products – together Derrick and I have become a ridiculously well-coiffed couple. Merci!
Forget the gifts, today let’s celebrate what Valentine’s is really about: L-O-V-E! Ok, you may now go barf – but please return for some relationship advice that’ll ensure not only a great Valentine’s day, but a lifetime of happy girlfriends as well!
So one of my favorite blogs, The Essential Man, recently shared an article “Secrets To A Happy Marriage“, highlighting six couples celebrating half a century of blissful marriage. My favorite couple?
That’d have to be Ayako Kawakami and Harold Petersen. Look how ridiculously cute and in love they look! Married 53 years, Harold’s secret to happiness is:
“Let her go shopping. More than once, I’ve left a garage sale and gone to get my truck to carry all her antiques home.”
Let her go shopping? Are girls really that simple? Yes, yes they are.
Oh Harold, you certainly know the way to a girl’s heart. And if that’s also a denim shirt you’re wearing, I think I love you.
Dread. Fear. Panic. Oh is it Valentine’s Day already? If you haven’t found a suitable gift yet for the lovely lady in your life – don’t worry – here are a couple of perfectly romantic gift ideas that are sure to help a brother out:
Unique and adorable, this bracelet is guaranteed to be deemed ridiculously charming by your Valentine. So don’t be surprised if you get a similarly monstrous hug in return.
Edgy, cool and sweet, this ring is perfect for the girl with all the same qualities. Plus, G&B is offering free stamping so you can engrave a custom message for your Valentine. ‘Mom’ not recommended.
You might think Valentine’s Day is a silly-commercialized-made-up holiday, but that’s an argument for another day. This Valentine’s Day, why not celebrate with a monster hug?
