noneForget the gifts, today let’s celebrate what Valentine’s is really about: L-O-V-E! Ok, you may now go barf – but please return for some relationship advice that’ll ensure not only a great Valentine’s day, but a lifetime of happy girlfriends as well!
So one of my favorite blogs, The Essential Man, recently shared an article “Secrets To A Happy Marriage“, highlighting six couples celebrating half a century of blissful marriage. My favorite couple?

That’d have to be Ayako Kawakami and Harold Petersen. Look how ridiculously cute and in love they look! Married 53 years, Harold’s secret to happiness is:
“Let her go shopping. More than once, I’ve left a garage sale and gone to get my truck to carry all her antiques home.”
Let her go shopping? Are girls really that simple? Yes, yes they are.
Oh Harold, you certainly know the way to a girl’s heart. And if that’s also a denim shirt you’re wearing, I think I love you.

Although I’d like to think me eating up all the Colts cupcakes helped too.
noneDread. Fear. Panic. Oh is it Valentine’s Day already? If you haven’t found a suitable gift yet for the lovely lady in your life – don’t worry – here are a couple of perfectly romantic gift ideas that are sure to help a brother out:

Verameat Monster Hugs Bracelet ($80)
Unique and adorable, this bracelet is guaranteed to be deemed ridiculously charming by your Valentine. So don’t be surprised if you get a similarly monstrous hug in return.

Giles & Brothers Railroad Spike Ring ($65)
Edgy, cool and sweet, this ring is perfect for the girl with all the same qualities. Plus, G&B is offering free stamping so you can engrave a custom message for your Valentine. ‘Mom’ not recommended.
You might think Valentine’s Day is a silly-commercialized-made-up holiday, but that’s an argument for another day. This Valentine’s Day, why not celebrate with a monster hug?
2 comSpotted: The Saints arriving in style for the Super Bowl. Check out Reggie Bush’s three piece suit, Marques Colston’s snazzy blue pocket square, and Jeremy Shockey’s not one, but two, Gucci bags.

The best team in the league won’t be decided until Sunday, but it’s clear who the most stylish team is – who’s that? Who Dat Nation, of course.
