So one of my favorite blogs, The Essential Man, recently shared an article “Secrets To A Happy Marriage“, highlighting six couples celebrating half a century of blissful marriage. My favorite couple?

That’d have to be Ayako Kawakami and Harold Petersen. Look how ridiculously cute and in love they look! Married 53 years, Harold’s secret to happiness is:

“Let her go shopping. More than once, I’ve left a garage sale and gone to get my truck to carry all her antiques home.”

Let her go shopping? Are girls really that simple? Yes, yes they are.
