Once in awhile I find something so amazing – so awesome – so ridiculously good looking that I wish I was a boy so I could wear said RGL item. Take this Cheap Monday sweater for example. Brown and black stripe in an oversized knit – it’d be perfect with leggings and a slouchy beanie. Alas it doesn’t come in my size, so here you go fellows:

Although instead of leggings you might want to substitute a pair of dark denim instead. You’ll not only be ridiculously good looking in this sweater - you’ll be ridiculously snuggly too. And fyi, that’s stuff girls like.

I have a confession: One of the things I worry about during the holidays is what I’m going to wear to all the family, friends, and work related festivities occuring back to back in December. Call me a girl (I am) and shallow (at times), but with so many events to attend, a girl can’t help but bemoan her dearth of outfit options. So guys, if you’ve found yourself pondering this same dilemna, may I offer some advice and suggest – wait for it – a sweater?
The sweater is easily one of the most overlooked items in your wardrobe, yet it’s also one of the most versatile. It belongs in our most favorite category of clothing: stuff-you-can-wear-for-both-work-and-play. Check out the looks below on how to style your sweater for whatever dressy or casual occasion transpires.

Chris Pine in a button up, slacks, and sweater by Prada, displaying business casual at it’s finest. Who doesn’t eat pastrami sandwiches in head to toe Prada?

J. Crew Wool-Cashmere Jersey Deep V-Neck Sweater ($55) demonstrates sweaters go just as well with a t-shirt and jeans as with a collared shirt and slacks.

Wear your favorite plaid shirt underneath J. Crew’s Cashmere Rib-Shawl Pullover ($239). The plaid accents add a festive touch to your outfit.

And lastly I leave you with a picture of Joseph Gordon Levitt, looking adorable in a holiday-esque sweater by French Connection. It’s “holiday” but not in that tacky ugly Christmas sweater way.
Whether it’s the v-neck, crew neck, or even the rib-shawl pullover, the sweater’s got you covered this season, don’t even “sweat” it! Merry Christmas!

They might just be wearing man cardigans.
Spotted: Reggie Bush sporting a navy blue man cardigan, proving once and for all man cardigans aren’t just for skinny hipsters. Can we now add trendsetting fashionista to this running back’s list of accomplishments? As if helping the Saints reach their 12-0 record this past Sunday wasn’t awesome enough.

Well played, Reggie, well played.

Temperatures have been dipping down to the 50s and 60s the last couple of days, and in LA that means it’s time to put on a sweater. It’s a perfect time to don the fall fashion trend, the man cardigan, a hipster favorite and fashion classic. Today’s cardigan is effortless and casual, taking the iconic fashion piece from special occassion attire to every day wear. It’s grandpa-style done right. And if you don’t fancy looking like a stylish grandpa, you might like the fact that girls find it super adorable.
Simple and versatile, the man cardigan can be worn just as easily with jeans and a t-shirt as with slacks and a button up. Here’s how not be mistaken for Mr. Rogers:

1. J. Lindeberg Lymac True Merino Knit Cardigan ($111) 2. Nudie Big Bengt Dry Heavy ($179) 3. Nike All Court ($60)

1. Alternative Apparel Mr. Rogers Cardigan ($42) 2. Fremont Mark Drop Yoke Slacks Pants ($58) 3. American Apparel T-Shirt ($16)
With fall weather underway and a chilly forecast ahead, it’s time to put on a sweater, LA – actually, it’s time to put on a cardigan!

Here’s a tip from Gary, Seasoned-Man-Cardigan-Wearer: You don’t need to be hipster thin to wear this trend. Layer over non-bulky shirts like thin button ups or t-shirts. And wear unbuttoned on fat days.
